Mt. Shasta Nordic Executive Director, Laurel Harkness, Announces Departure

Dear Mt. Shasta Nordic members and supporters,

Today I'm announcing that after two rewarding and inspiring years of serving as the Executive Director of Mt. Shasta Nordic, I'll be stepping away to serve in the same role for the organization Snowlands Network. I will remain with Mt. Shasta Nordic through June. (Read the full press release here.)

The Mt. Shasta Nordic board has been preparing for this transition for over a month and our dedicated and talented staff will continue to operate the community-supported Mt. Shasta Nordic Center and work to promote human-powered winter recreation in the Mt. Shasta region.

It has been an extradinary honor to work with and help build Mt. Shasta Nordic. As I go on to advocate winter wildlands for all of California and Nevada on behalf of Snowlands Network, I will carry my experience with Mt. Shasta Nordic with me.

Thank you for all the support you provide to Mt. Shasta Nordic, and I look forward to standing and skiing with all of you as a Mt. Shasta Nordic member and volunteer.
