Joel Tranby Memorial Race

Join us Saturday, January 31st at 10am for the Joel Tranby Memorial Race, a major skate skiing competition and free event hosted by OISRAN (Oregon Interscholastic Ski Racing Association Nordic) at Mt. Shasta Nordic Center. This high school Nordic ski race honors the memory of Joel Tranby, a beloved leader in the OISRAN community for whom Mt. Shasta Nordic Center was his favorite place to compete.

Come watch talented young skiers from across Southern Oregon race on our trails as OISRAN makes this an annual tradition at our center. Whether you're a Nordic racing enthusiast or simply want to experience the excitement of competitive skiing in Siskiyou County, this event showcases the true speed, skill, and spirit of Nordic skate ski racing.

All spectators are encouraged to bring a cowbell (or really any kind of bell) and shake it for the passing racers, as tradition!
